bio
mustafa j. irshaid is a palestinian cinematographer based in amman, jordan. he spent his childhood in sir, a quiet village in northern palestine, where the stillness allowed him to notice nature and its details, like the afternoon light falling on a cactus plant along the house wall.
self-taught through years of practice, he began his path in journalism and media in 2015, moving through photography, directing, and video productions before finding his way fully into cinematography. his eye was sharpened by a long period of street photography, which taught him to see the rhythm of light and life. today his work is guided by emotion within the frame, and by creating an enriching process of collaboration where the journey matters as much as the result.
for the past ten years, he has worked on films, documentaries, music videos, commercials and visual projects. his focus is always on the emotions within the frame and on creating an enriching process of collaboration in every project. he believes that when the journey is meaningful, the results follow naturally.
beyond cinema, he holds on to being a beginner on purpose. he draws, writes, experiments with calligraphy, and explores art forms with no pressure to master them. these small beginnings keep his work rooted in curiosity and remind him that art is, before anything, a human gesture.
today, he is leaning more deeply into narrative cinema, aiming to make films that tell our stories and carry images that truly resemble us.
